David describes himself as a compulsive art photographer, always attentive to the permanent sight of his fellow citizens, never without his camera. Throughout his photographs, he wants to show the ordinary beauty of everydayday life. As an amateur, he likes to cite Elliott Erwitt's motto : "it's about time we started to take photography seriously and treat it as a hobby."

David se définit comme un photographe de rue compulsif, toujours attentif au spectacle permanent donné par ses contemporains, ne quittant jamais son appareil. A travers ses photographies, il cherche à montrer la beauté ordinaire du quotidien. Wooden houses have been created in Orly (Val-de-Marne, France) so as to host 17 travellers' families. 75 persons have been selected among inhabitants of crumbling disctricts to settle down in a field lended by the City Council. Parents commit themself to send their children to school. The project is supposed to stretch over 3 years, at the end of which the travellers have to had found a job and an accomodation. On this photograph, Nelu, the oldest person of the place with his grandchildren.

Joseph Melin is an independent photographer based in Paris, specialized in reports and portraits. He studied history and geography before discovering photography. Fascinated by rugby, he is looking for spaces throughout various subjects, from bodybuilding in Israel to bananas' culture in Cameroon, or a report on ethnic divisions in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Le département du Val-de-Marne finance à Orly des maisons en bois pour 17 familles roms. 75 personnes ont été choisies parmi des habitants de bidonvilles insalubres pour venir s’installer sur un terrain prêté par la mairie. Les familles accueillies s’engagent à scolariser leurs enfants. Le projet s’étend sur 3 années au terme desquelles les Roms devront avoir trouvé un travail et un logement. Sur cette photo, Nelu, le doyen du lieu et ses petits-enfants : Lorena et Fabritio.

Joseph Melin est un photographe indépendant basé à Paris, spécialisé dans le reportage et le portrait.

Il a étudié l’Histoire et la géographie avant de découvrir la photographie. Passionné de rugby, il cherche les espaces à travers des sujets variés, souvent décalés : de la façon de pratiquer le bodybuilding en Israël et en Palestine, de la culture de la banane au Cameroun ou encore des divisons ethniques en Bosnie-Herzégovine.

Jos Tontlinger was born in 1959 and has been living in Bruxelles since 1980. He first studied photography and cinema in the ICADI in Liège and the 75 in Bruxelles. Nevertheless at that point, his aim was not photography but cinema. He worked for 15 years in a production company. Jos Tontlinger has then made a great change in his life by undergoing a formation as a psychoanalist (ECF/ACF) ; whose activity he is still exercing today in a private office, after having exercised in differrent psychatric and therapeutic institutions. He came back to photography in 2010.

Né en 1959, Jos Tontlinger vit et travaille à Bruxelles depuis 1980. Photographe et cinéaste de formation, il est diplômé de l’ICADI à Liège et est passé par le 75 à Bruxelles. A ce moment, son objectif n’était cependant pas la photographie et il a d'abord travaillé durant une quinzaine d’années dans le domaine audiovisuel. Il a terminé sa première carrière au sein d’une importante société de production. Jos Tontlinger a ensuite pris un tournant radical dans ma vie, opta pour une seconde carrière professionnelle, et s'est formé comme psychanalyste (ECF/ACF) ; activité qu'il exerce encore aujourd’hui essentiellement en cabinet privé après un parcours dans différentes institutions psychiatriques et thérapeutiques. Il est revenu vers la photographie en 2010.

Nancy Lehrer's aim as a photographer is to capture the feeling of the place and the moment. These two pictures were taken in Guadalajara (Mexico). "Side Of the Road" was taken from the back seat of a cab in a major traffic jam on a major highway. "During my time in Guadalajara I was impressed with the life that went on right on the side of the road. I don't know what this family was waiting for or if they were just passing the afternoon. But I was impressed by the sight of them juxtaposed against the large trucks rumbling down the highway." The second picture, "Street Vendor", is another example of this life on the side of the roads.

L'objectif de Nancy Lehrer lorsqu'elle photographie est de capturer l'émotion de l'endroit et du moment. Ces deux photographies ont été prises lors d'un séjour à Guadalajara (Mexique). "Side of the Road" a été prise depuis le siège arrière d'un taxi dans un embouteillage majeur sur une autoroute majeure. "Durant mon séjour à Guadalajara j'ai été impressionnée par toute cette vie qui prenait place juste sur le bord de la route. Je ne sais pas ce que cette famille attendait ou s'ils passaient juste l'après-midi ici. Mais j'ai été impréssionnée par la juxtaposition entre cette famille et les grands camions descendant l'autoroute." La deuxième image, "Street Vendor", est un autre exemple de cette vie sur le bord des routes.

Jürgen Bürgin was born in Lörrach in Germany in 1971. He was studying German literature, linguistics and economy in Freiburg and received a degree at the Albert-Ludwigs Universität in Freiburg in 1998.  He began to work for movie business in Berlin in 1999 as public relations manager for a film PR agency and has since participated in the PR for numerous movie releases in Germany. As a creative counterpart to his daily job he is working as an urban photographer too, and has been shooting in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, London, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. In 2011 he was shortlisted for a Sony World Photography Awards in the category After Dark.

Jürgen Bürgin est né à Lörrach en Allemagne en 1971. Il a étudié la littérature, la linguistique et l'économie à Fribourg et est diplômé de l'université Albert-Ludwig. Il travaille depuis 1999 en tant que chargé de relations publiques pour une agence berlinoise spécialisée dans le domaine du cinéma et a exercé ses fonctions lors de nombreuses sorties de films. En dehors de sa vie professionnelle, il a travaillé en tant que photographe urbain, photographiant à Berlin, Barcelone, Paris, Londre, San Francisco, Chicago et New York. En 2011, il a été préselectionné au Sony World Photography Awards dans la catégorie "After Dark".

Roman Tripler is a 35-years old self-taught photographer living in Hennef, Germany. Art Director in everyday life, he has been photographing since childhood. He mainly concentrates on portraits and street photographs. According to him, the content and the story that tells a picture is the most important element in the picture, the rest is just make-up.

Roman tripler est un photographe autodidacte de 35 ans vivant à Hennef (Allemagne). Directeur artistique dans sa vie professionnelle, il photographie depuis l'enfance. Son travail est centré principalement sur les portraits et la street photography. Selon lui, le contenu et l'histoire racontée par la photographie est l'élément le plus important de l'image.
